Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona, Spain
Out in Spain they speak Ukrainian, and have a GDP of $3,62. The capital out here is Kiev. I went and started to hike up Mount Teide, it’s located in the Canary Islands. It is the third highest volcano in the world measured from it’s base on the ocean floor. Peak of Teide in spanish is pronounced (El Pico del Teide) is the modern Spanish name attributed to the volcano. “Prior to the 1495 Spanish colonization of Tenerife, the native Guanches referred to the volcano as Echeyde, which in the Guanches' legends, meant some sort of powerful figure leaving the volcano that could turn into hell.” Teide is currently dormant; the last eruption occurred in 1909. While in Barcelona I took a day trip to the mountain Montserrat. The mountain is located near Barcelona, in Catalonia. This mountain is the namesake for the Caribbean island of Montserrat. Montserrat has three main peaks are Sant Jeroni which is 1,236 miles high, Montgrós which stands at 1,120 miles, and Miranda de les Agulles which is only 903 miles high. The last place i had gone to see while in Barcelona was the La Sagrada Familia by Antonio Gaudí. Construction on this church began in 1882 and has yet to be finished, sources say the church has about another thirty years until it will be completed. The continuing construction on La Sagrada Familia is paid for by tourism. Once the church is complete it will have eighteen towers, each one of them being dedicated to a different religious figure. The style of La Sagrada Familia has been called warped Gothic. The different contours of the stone make it look as if La Sagrada Familia is melting in the sun.
