France, Paris

France, Paris
GDP is $42,793; My first stop in Paris was one that many do. It was a stop to the Eiffel Tower. This amazing structure stands at a whopping 1,063 feet. about the same height as an 81-story building. When the tower was officially opened in 1889, it was the highest structure of the planet. The tower is actually painted in three different shades of color because of its extreme height. The tower is covered with 60 tons of paint every seven years to protect against corrosion. 72 prominent French engineers, scientists and mathematicians names are engraved on the tower. They were all from the time that the tower was built. My next stop in France was to Saint-Malo to visit the Grand Aquarium. The aquarium houses different 600 species and 11,000 marine animals. The aquarium was opened in 1996. This was the most amazing experience. You saw anything from a nurse shark to a hammerhead shark, a clownfish to the volatile lionfish it was like you were under the water as you walked through the hall with the tanks encircling you. It was such a wonderful experience.
